As you lie in repose for all the world to see
What will be your legacy?
Remembered as giant in heart and spirit
Remembered for the Love you gave
Remembered for giving and caring
Remembered for life and sharing
Will it be the tenderness you showed
When a soul was lost
Will it be you fought for right, no matter
The cost
When all is told, will it be mercy you showed
Or the generous nature of a heart not sold
To all that knew you, what will they see
What will be your legacy
Did you dash, fronting danger, to save a child
Not your own
Stand up like a man when you know you were
Wrong
Or bend weak, like a willow for the lies that
You told
Will you suffer in silence
Or confess your sin
Try to make a difference in the world
You live in
To make proud the family that carries your name
Or spend a lifetime seeking credit and fame
Today, what you chose can recover the world
From hunger and war the worst that we see
