Destinations Unknown
An airplane flies into the sky
to destinations still unknown
the cargo more precious than gold
A couple argues in the sky, the woman
she begins to cry
To understand why he said those things
but yet in still gave her
a diamond ring
The old man in the seat sits alone
begins to weep. He lost his wife not long
ago, carries her ashes wherever he goes
He flies away to escape the pain
Of what will never be again.
The tenderness of her sweet touch
The only Love he knew so much
He still remembers her smiling face
And the day they brought their daughter
Grace, To the home they shared for
fourty years, with all of the laughter
and the tears
Where has the time flown
To destinations still unknown
The two sit quietly there,
The coldness of their dead blank stare
Maybe it's shame that brought them there
With a secret only they can share.
The children that they loved so dear
Just a memory no longer here.
The police have searched for weeks and weeks
with no luck, so justice they seek
Only to close a blind eye
To the ones who really know
Death has hung there many times
with welcoming arms
did they let him in
They don't believe in mortal sin
So they escaped into the night
Theives of life is what they are
not caring what today might hold
only bitterness do they know
Where has the time flown
To destinations still unknown
A baby sleeps and dreams of clouds
so peaceful, so beautiful
But soon she'll waken and find herself
in the arms of a mother,
not her own, but one chosen
to keep her safe from harm.
Hopeful in spirit but she'll soon learn
The evil of the devils' plan
That one day she'll understand
She walks the streets to stay away
All to soon time slips away.
She already knows the pain of loss
and lust, ashes to ashes, dust to dust
Life has not been kind
To have the ability to rewind
To go back to days carefree,
how harsh those lessons have to be.
Where has the time flown
To destinations still unknown.
